The European Comission recommended that Slovakia adopt the Euro, despite concerns by the European Central Bank and economists. The ECB fears that an increased inflation in Slovakia could threaten price stability throughout the euro zone. Some experts expect a cooling of the current economic boom in Slovakia because they expect some industries, most notably the auto industry which contributes considerably to the economic upturn, to move futher eastward when prices rise.
