Volkswagen and Toshiba teaming up to develop electric cars

The biggest European car maker VW and the Japanese electronics company Toshiba signed a letter of intent to cooperate on the development of electric car technology. The goal is to equip Volkswagen’s concept car UP! with an electric motor and a battery pack that make it an affordable, emissions-free city car.
